IPOD Shows up in device manager as "Unknown USB Device"

1. Unplug every USB device from PC

2. Run normal spyware cleanup procedures

3. Go to add remove programs and delete itunes and apple software

4. Open device manager

5. Scroll down to universal serial bus controllers

6. Select each device in that category one at a time and delete it

7. Perform registry corrections

8. Reboot pc and let universal serial bus controllers reconfigure

9. Open device manager and make sure no unknown devices are present

10. Plug in (1) usb device at a time and make sure it shows up correctly in device manager

11. Reinstall itunes
